Martin Luther King's
Letter From Birmingham Jail
(Download Here)
It's been over five decades since
Martin Luther King Jr., began writing his famous
"Letter From Birmingham Jail," a response to eight white Alabama clergymen who criticized King and worried the civil rights campaign would cause violence. They called King an "extremist" and told blacks they should be patient.
When King applies literacy, accuracy
and accountability,
he reveals resistance driven by ignorance and fear —
packaged in coercion, machination and artifice.
MLK's letter is right for the times, and based on principles over 2,000 years old.
The letter is congruent with the ethos of an enlightened society.
Cast off from the skeptics.
